Meet Your Therapist, Waverly

(aka Waves)

I’m Waverly, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, though most of my family and friends call me “Waves.” The nickname has always felt fitting because I believe life moves in waves. Sometimes it is calm and steady, and other times it can feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate. My role as a therapist is to help you find steadiness even when the waters feel rough. I bring warmth, patience, and evidence-based practices into each session with the goal of supporting you as you build resilience and work toward emotional well-being.

Therapy with me is collaborative and compassionate. I see each person as the expert of their own life, and together we create space to process challenges, explore new perspectives, and develop coping strategies that fit your unique needs.

Outside of my professional life, I find grounding in the things that bring me joy. I am a proud cat lover, and my cats remind me daily of the importance of rest and presence. Music is another source of comfort and inspiration for me, especially listening to Taylor Swift. I also enjoy the creativity and focus that come with sewing, and I often recharge by getting lost in a good book. These interests may seem small, but they shape who I am and remind me to value balance, connection, and authenticity, the same values I bring into my practice.
